Gergely Suto was born in Budapest in 1972. He studied the clarinet at Conservatoire de Lausanne, Switzerland. During the last 13 years he has been playing with such orchestras as Tonhalle Zurich, Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra Gulbenkian Lisbon, among others. He is currently bass clarinet player of Orchestra National do Porto, Portugal.
Beside his classical carreer, and since a 1993 collaboration with Swiss contemporary jazz pianists Jacques Demierre and Sylvie Courvoisier, Gergely Suto has always led experimental musical projects. Eugene Kovax is the most recent of them.
Zoltan Santa was born in Debrecen, Hungary in 1958. After violin studies in his hometown he became concertmaster of the Debrecen Philharmony Orchestra and professor of the Debrecen Music Academy. During six years he was the principal conductor of Madeira Chamber Orchestra. He is currently a member of Orquestra Nacional do Porto and professor at Aveiro University.
Zoltan Santa always knew how to improvise, only never tried:) Eugene Kovax is his first improvising project.
